The starting point

One of six certification and training websites run by a US education group, each on its own domain and built on Squarespace and Thinkific. We were hired through Upwork. This is the largest and oldest of the six, selling clinical research courses.

A large, established website in a group where the audit tool flagged more than 50,000 issues, on a platform with limited technical access. At this scale one fault can hit hundreds of pages at once.

What we did

  • Cleared the 50,000+ issues flagged by the client's audit tool across all six websites and their subdomains.
  • Researched keywords and competitors for each website, then rewrote titles, headings and copy around the searches that matter.
  • Mapped internal links across the group and planned new ones from the strongest pages.
  • Reworked the site structure of two of the six websites in a follow-on contract (3 February to 31 March 2026).

Search Console

How to read the chart.

The chart at the top of this page is a screenshot of the Search Console Performance report, cropped so the domain does not show. Nothing else is edited.

  • Blue line: clicks from Google search each day.
  • Purple line: impressions, the number of times the site appeared in results.
  • Average position: where the site appeared on average, across every search it showed for. Lower is better. The number can get bigger while traffic grows, because the site starts appearing for more, and harder, searches.

What the numbers do not prove

The jump came around 1 January 2026, about two weeks before we started. Much of it is seasonal or due to other factors, and we do not claim it. From June clicks fell; July to September averaged 410 a day, slightly below the level before we started. The contracts ended on 31 March with no ongoing support.

What we would do differently

Set a baseline and check seasonality before starting, so the effect of the work can be separated from the January rise. On a website this size, keep supporting it after the clean-up rather than ending at the fix.

“Amazing to work with very fast will be utilizing again for future tasks across 6 domains got 2 domains that were not ranking for over a year to rank. We've worked with over 30 different SEO specialists over the past decade and he is in the top percentile”
