Average position
The starting point
An independent guide to a Canadian coffee-and-doughnut chain’s menu, with prices and calories for each item. The domain was registered in mid-September 2026.
No history, no links, and a topic where the brand’s own site and large food sites already rank.
What we did
- Built the full menu with prices and calories for each item, an FAQ section and a clear note that the site is independent and unofficial.
- Requested indexing every day in a set priority order, within Google’s daily limit, and tracked which pages were still waiting.
- Separated pages that Google had not yet visited from pages it had visited and declined, and stopped requesting the second group until their content was deeper.
The numbers
| Period | Dates | Clicks | Impressions | Average position |

| First full month | 1 to 28 October 2026 | 472 | 35.1K | 10.7 |

Search Console
How to read the chart.
The chart at the top of this page is a screenshot of the Search Console Performance report, cropped so the domain does not show. Nothing else is edited.
- Blue line: clicks from Google search each day.
- Purple line: impressions, the number of times the site appeared in results.
- Average position: where the site appeared on average, across every search it showed for. Lower is better. The number can get bigger while traffic grows, because the site starts appearing for more, and harder, searches.
What the numbers do not prove
Our own site. One month of data is early: a new site can rise quickly and settle back. Eight pages that Google crawled but did not index still need more depth.
What we would do differently
Write depth into every page before asking Google to index it. Pages Google has already visited and declined do not change position by being requested again.
